PARKALGAR HONDA’S Sam Lowes is back to full fitness after breaking his collarbone at Assen in mid-April and will be going for victory at Misano in San Marino in Italy at the fifth round of the World Supersport Championship this Sunday June 12th. Portuguese racer Miguel Praia broke a bone in his shoulder at the last round at Monza and this will be his first time back on his bike. He crashed while fighting inside the top 10 and will be aiming to recreate that form at Misano. There are practice and qualifying sessions on Friday and Saturday before the race starts at 1330CET on Sunday, June 12th. Sam: “I am back to full fitness and cannot wait to get racing again, it seems a long time since Monza last month. I have learnt a lot in the first four races and want to use that to challenge for the win at Misano. The Parkalgar Honda is good enough and so am I, so it is full gas, I will be On It this weekend.” Miguel: “My shoulder is sore but I will do my best this weekend at Misano. Before my crash at Monza I was riding well and a personal best finish may have been possible. I have confidence in my Parkalgar Honda and want to get strong results for the rest of the season, the top 10 in the Championship remains my goal.” Simon Buckmaster, Parkalgar Honda Team Manager: “Sam did a fantastic job in Monza considering the pain he was in to grab fifth. We will be disappointed if he doesn’t challenge for the victory and get on the podium at Misano. “Miguel suffered a minor injury in Monza breaking a bone in his shoulder. It will make his weekend difficult at Misano but we hope that he can continue the run of good form he has shown all season and challenge inside the top 10.”
