Italian Luca Scassa has two broken bones in his left foot, the result of a highside crash Thursday, and will not participate in the second day of the two-day Pirelli tire test at Daytona International Speedway, according to Fast By Ferracci MV Agusta Team Owner Eraldo Ferracci. Scassa’s teammate Matt Lynn will continue testing Friday even though he spent half the night in the emergency room at Halifax Medical Center being treated for flu symptoms. Testing got off to a late start Friday morning as most riders chose to let the ambient temperature come up some before heading out. The ambient temperature at 10:00 a.m. was still only 44 degrees F, and the day’s high temperature is only forecast to reach approximately 53.
