HAYDEN TO BE FEATURED IN ‘THE KENTUCKY KID’ MOVIE NOV. 16 ON MTV INDIANAPOLIS, Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007 Fans can learn more about the fast-paced life of 2006 MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden in a two-hour reality documentary, “The Kentucky Kid,” airing at 10 p.m. (ET) Friday, Nov. 16 on MTV. Hayden, from Owensboro, Ky., is one of the MotoGP superstars who will compete in the inaugural Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Sept. 14, 2008 at IMS. “The Kentucky Kid” chronicles the dramatic end to Hayden’s 2006 title-winning season and his difficult 2007 season trying to defend the crown. Hayden edged legendary World Champion Valentino Rossi for his first world title in 2006 despite an injury suffered in a crash with his teammate, Dani Pedrosa, in the second-to-last race of the season. In 2007, Hayden struggled with the setup of his Honda and finished a frustrating eighth in the point standings. The movie also shows in detail Hayden’s relationship with fellow riders and team personnel, and the fascinating contrast between his rural life at home in Kentucky and his star status in the cosmopolitan, European-based MotoGP series.
