Albacete 6hr Night-time Endurance SERT dominate free tests The race favourites took to the Albacete circuit in Spain on Friday morning for free testing in advance of the second round of the QMMF Endurance FIM World Championship. In spite of in spite of low temperature track conditions, the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team achieved the fastest lap-time courtesy of Vincent Philippe who recorded a time of 1’32.980, the only lap-time to come in under 1’33. Spanish team, Folch Endurance who are tipped as one of the favourites, achieved the second fastest time just ahead of another hot favourite, Team Kawasaki. Yamaha Phase One Endurance came in at fourth place just ahead of Team FCC TSR’s Japanese Hondas. Having achieved a good understanding of the track, the two Japanese pilots will be looking to better their position on the starting grid on their CBR 1000RRs. Both Kawasaki’s from permanent teams, Qatar Endurance Racing Team and Bolliger Team Switzerland were ahead of the only European bike taking part at Albacete, the Ducati 1098 ridden by Dani Ribalta of the Spanish Team, Flumotion RPM-Expert.
