Services Scheduled For Bobby Lewis, Father Of MotoAmerica Superbike Racer Jake Lewis

Visitation and services for Bobby Lewis, father of racer Jake Lewis, have been scheduled for Saturday, May 12th, with visitation from 2 to 6 p.m., followed by the services. Both will be held at Morgan’s Funeral Home, 301 W. Washington St., Princeton, Kentucky, phone (270) 365-5595.

According to an autopsy report and family friend Doug McFadden, Lewis died from a massive heart attack and crashed in a single-vehicle accident on Monday, April 30th while on his way from work to his home in Princeton. The official cause of death was the heart attack.

Jake Lewis plans to compete in this coming weekend’s MotoAmerica Superbike races at VIR, and his mother and uncle will also attend the event to support him.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations in memory of Bobby Lewis be made to the Roadracing World Action Fund, a 501(3) (c) non-profit dedicated to funding and deploying Airfence and Alpina soft barriers to help save lives and prevent injuries at racetracks nationwide.
