This off-season we’re running a series showing your motorcycles. Not just your road racing bikes, but your streetbikes, motocross bikes, dirt bikes, pit bikes, mini bikes, trials bikes, land-speed bikes, drag bikes, speedway bikes, whatever you’ve got. If you have more than one bike, send photos of them all–alone or with you! Send in-focus bike photos (as jpeg files) along with the make, model and year of each bike and your name, city and state, plus the name of the photographer, to [email protected]. By sending us the photos, you are certifying that you own the rights to the photos and are giving us permission to feature them on roadracingworld.com. They may be posted on roadracingworld.com during slow news days.
Seen here in our 22nd installment are photos sent in by CRA racer Drew Sivertsen, age 17, from Miller, South Dakota. Sivertsen was just bumped up from Novice to Expert at the end of the 2014 season, after finishing 9th in CRA Novice points.
The first photo Sivertsen sent in shows him racing a Yamaha YZF-R6 with CRA at Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, Minnesota, and the second photo shows him on the grid. The third photo catches Sivertsen on his Yamaha YZ450F in Supermoto trim; he also uses the 450 in standard dirt trim for training purposes.
In his rider profile on roadracingworld.com, Sivertsen has posted a photo of a KTM RC390 Cup racebike with the caption, “My new years resolution…….RACE THIS BIKE!” He hopes to compete in the KTM RC390 Cup class with MotoAmerica this season. He also describes his style as “Smooth like butter, strong and accurate.”
