This off-season we’re running a series showing your motorcycles. Not just your road racing bikes, but your streetbikes, motocross bikes, dirt bikes, pit bikes, mini bikes, trials bikes, land-speed bikes, drag bikes, speedway bikes, whatever you’ve got. If you have more than one bike, send photos of them all–alone or with you! Send in-focus bike photos (as jpeg files) along with the make, model and year of each bike and your name, city and state, plus the name of the photographer, to [email protected]. By sending us the photos, you are certifying that you own the rights to the photos and are giving us permission to feature them on roadracingworld.com. They may be posted on roadracingworld.com during slow news days.
Seen here in our third installment are photos sent in by 2014 CCS Southeast Region Overall Champion Greg Melka, 46, of Tampa, Florida. The first photo shows Melka’s pit area at Roebling Road Raceway and his two 2008 YZF-R6 Yamahas, one built to ASRA and CCS Superbike rules with a 2mm overbore and the other built to be Supersport class legal.
The second photo shows Melka’s 2014 KTM 350XCF hare-scrambles racebike.
The third and final photo is from the 2013 Race of Champions at Daytona and shows Melka posing with Tom Eubank (left) of Ducati Depot and Eubank’s 748/1100 hybrid, built to CCS Lightweight GP and GT class rules using a 748 chassis and an 1100cc dual-spark-plug air-cooled two-valve engine. Melka is standing next to CCS trophy girl Brooke Lankford and holding the trophy for winning the CCS GT Lights class title with the bike. Engine builder Sebastian Didato of Melillimoto Ducati is seen at right. In 2014 Melka used the same bike to win the Lightweight F40 title and to co-ride to the ASRA Team Challenge GTL Championship.
