This off-season we’re running a series showing your motorcycles. Not just your road racing bikes, but your streetbikes, motocross bikes, dirt bikes, pit bikes, mini bikes, trials bikes, land-speed bikes, drag bikes, speedway bikes, whatever you’ve got. If you have more than one bike, send photos of them all–alone or with you! Send in-focus bike photos (as jpeg files) along with the make, model and year of each bike and your name, age, racing or track-day organization (if applicable), city and state, plus the name of the photographer, to [email protected]. By sending us the photos, you are certifying that you own the rights to the photos and are giving us permission to feature them on roadracingworld.com. They may be posted on roadracingworld.com during slow news days.
Seen here in our 36th installment are photos sent in by racer Rick Lind, age 42, from Milan, Michigan, who writes, “I race with the AMA, WERA and SOAR (Canada) and I’m a member of your racer profile section. Here are pics of my Yamaha YZF-R6 racebike, Honda CRF50 pit bike and a custom 1964 Triumph my dad and I built. I make my own bodywork (my own fiberglass molds also) in the garage so the R6 and CRF50 have bodywork I’ve made using Silver Texalum and fiberglass painted with translucent red and blue paint in areas. One picture is of the R6, and another of the R6 and CRF50 with my beautiful girlfriend Rebecca while we were camping in the Mid-Ohio pit area between the WERA and AMA races. The other two are at home. Thanks a bunch. All at Roadracing World do such awesome work for the racing community!”
In 2014 Rick ran #412 in AMA Pro Supersport as well as in WERA and SOAR.
In the Bio section of his rider profile on roadracingworld.com, Lind posted, “Currently employed as an Avionics Technician with Spirit Airlines for the past 16 years, crafting my own composite motorcycle parts for 10 years. I started riding on the track with friends in 2007 and raced with Fasttrax that summer. Started racing with WERA in 2008 and the AMA in 2013. After 189 races I have 87 Podiums, 6 DNFs and 7 regional Championships.”
