This off-season we’re running a series showing your motorcycles, starting with your racebike or track-day bike. But not just your road racing or track-day bike, but also your streetbike, motocross bike, dirt bike, pit bike, mini bike, trials bike, land-speed bike, drag bike, speedway bike, whatever you’ve got. If you have more than one bike, send photos of them all–alone or with you! Include your city, state and a few facts about what you do. Send in-focus bike photos (as jpeg files) along with the make, model and year of each bike and your name, age, racing or track-day organization (if applicable), city and state, plus the name of the photographer, to [email protected]. By sending us the photos, you are certifying that you own the rights to the photos and are giving us permission to feature them on roadracingworld.com. They may be posted on roadracingworld.com during slow news days.

Seen here in our 43rd installment are photos sent in by Wayne Harrison, age 71, of El Cerrito, California, who writes, “Here’s a picture of an old guy on a Monster @ Turn 7 Sears Point trying to look like he knows what he’s doing. The Monster is a 1995 M900 that was modified over several years by Pro Italia Motors. The aim was to improve the handling and give it a bit more power so it would make a fun track bike without losing its street tractability. And it worked! The motor has been breathed on with higher compression, V2 heads and cams, Keihin flatslides, and porting and flow work by CR Axtel. The suspension was optimized by Computrack and sports an Ohlins shock together with Racetech emulators in the forks. I’ve had it for 20 years now and despite having owned a slew of exotic Italian rockets, this is still my favorite ride. And, for some unknown reason, women are drawn to it like flypaper and often politely ask if they can have their picture taken with it! I’d say that speaks volumes for a successful Monster makeover!
“I do have and/or had several other bikes which have seen lots of track duty. Pictures of them follow in several separate e-mails. The MV Tamburini was a great bike on either street of track. It was followed by the 999R Xerox, which was not so great on the street (hot-butt exhaust system) but wonderfully easy to ride fast on the racetrack. The 1090RR Brutale is a great all-around hooligan ride. As a septuagenarian I no longer enjoy the crotch-rocket crouch and so the Monster and Brutale do double duty as both street and track-day bikes. And for a non-racer like myself they offer plenty of speed and fun.”
