Tim Reeves has finally been able to confirm his entry for the 2010 Isle of Man TT Races thanks to increased support from existing sponsors Mark Middleton and the Haith’s of Tickhill. The Kent driver’s participation and preparation had been thrown in to disarray after the loss of one of his main sponsors but when Middleton, of Double M Racing, and the Haith’s heard of his plight, they pulled out all the stops to make sure one of the pre-event favourites will once more be lining up on Glencrutchery Road in June. Triple World Champion Reeves and passenger Dan Sayle will now be in a great position to fully challenge for the wins in the two three-lap races. Staunch sidecar supporters the Haith’s have been involved in the three-wheel category for over 20 years firstly as competitors and, more recently, as sponsors with Tim the latest beneficiary of their support whilst Middleton is also a familiar face in the paddock having been involved in the sport – both two and three wheels – for a number of years now. Speaking earlier today, a delighted, and relieved, Tim said: “I’m incredibly grateful to both Mark and all the Haith family for their generosity and it’s thanks to them that I’ll be on the TT grid in June. I was really unsure if it was going to happen this year but they’ve pulled me out the mire and I’m now fully focused on getting the F2 bike ready in time and repaying them with the best result I possibly can. A win is what I want more than anything else so that’s exactly what I’ll be aiming to achieve.” Reeves’ immediate attention is turned upon Pembrey this weekend for his first outing of the year where he, and World Championship passenger Gregory Cluze, will begin their assault on the inaugural ‘Battle of Britain’ F1 Sidecar Championship.
