The Shootout was a tough race.” He commented on Dwyer trying to get the outside line through Turn Nine at the end of the race, “I tried to brake real deep and I thought, ‘Yay, I’m alone,’ but once I realized he was right there I thought ‘Oh I have to keep the line.’ I want to say thanks to God for the opportunity to be here with those riders in these championships. I also want to thank my family for all their support, ART Performance for building an incredible bike for me, Eric Gray from GMD Computrack and Pirelli Tires. I’m really happy.”

Apex Race Services/TT Motosport’s Tim Hunt Three Podiums on K-Tech Suspension at CCS Palm Beach International Raceway
Apex Race Services/TT Motosport’s Tim Hunt was looking strong in the few laps of the wet Saturday practice that he was able to get. After extensive testing at both Barber Motorsports Park and Homestead Speedway earlier in the season, he was optimistic that this weekend would be a good one. ” I am feeling very confident with the new K-Tech suspension on my Yamaha R6. This being my first experience with the new Gas Cartridges in the front forks I knew there would be a small learning curve but these things really work well”, Hunt said prior to the event.
Tim started off Sunday with a win in the Formula 40 Middleweight class by not only beating the middle weights but also the overall win the Unlimited class bikes. With his next race being the Middleweight Superbike race he battled his way through the pack to the front where he exchanged the lead with several other riders. At the end it was a nose to tail finish with Hunt ending up 3rd.
The last race of the day was the Middleweight GP. This race proved to be a very exciting race where again several riders exchanged the lead. “This race was very exciting for me. The guys who race the Florida CCS series are specialists at these tracks. Coming down here and running with them is tough but the combination of the Dunlop GPA Pro Tires and K-Tech suspension was AMAZING and the bike ran flawlessly!” With a last lap pass Tim was able to secure the win in one of the tightest races of the day.
Tim Hunt would like to say Thank you to all of his sponsors for helping to make this a successful weekend and season.
