Johann ZARCO, France (APRILIA), 1:44.929 More, from a press release issued by Interwetten Honda: Schrötter Crash in qualifying The result of the qualifying for the Gran Premio Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini did not meet the expectations of Marcel Schrötter and the Interwetten Honda 125 Team. After a 14th position in the second free practice this morning, where the 17 year old could continue with his performance from yesterday, the crash in the second lap of the afternoon session threw him back to 18th position. Schrötter will start tomorrow’s race from 5th row. Marcel Schrötter, 18 1’46.309: “The qualifying was really bad. In the second lap I crashed. I wanted to push from the beginning this time and that was maybe the reason why I crashed. I didn’t want to go for it in the last laps only this time and I felt comfortable on the bike, but I slipped with the rear. A crash always costs us time and we had to continue riding with some problems then, as we didn’t have time to fix the bike. It had to work somehow. I hope tomorrow I can continue more like in the second practice this morning.” Terrell Thien, Team Manager: “Unfortunately Marcel crashed and that means that we will start the race not much more in front as usual and he has to push through the whole race again to make up some places. This morning it went okay and in the afternoon it went bad, that’s racing.”
