SMRI at Napa Speedway (formerly Sandia Motor Speedway) this Weekend This coming weekend, April 14-15, 2012, the Sandia Motorcycle Roadracing Inc (SMRI) will be kicking off its 2012 season at Napa Speedway in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The track is located at 100 Speedway Park Ave, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Saturday’s activities include SMRI New Racer School, along with the first track day sponsored by Santa Fe Harley Davidson. Beginning at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning with the track going cold about 4:30pm. Sunday’s schedule is packed with a full day of exciting sprint races, racing starts at 10am. Our Formula Femme class offers some of New Mexico’s fastest women racers; there is the new 250 supersport class for this year that promises to offer some of the most competitive racing of the season. There is some type of racing for everyone to enjoying. Gates open each day at 6:00 a.m. Entry into the event is only $5 on Sunday and Saturday is free of charge. A parade lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting. Bring a cooler or visit the on-site snack bar on site. Please note that pets are allowed, but must be on a leash at all times at any of the SMRI events.
