Doni Tata Pradita’s shoulder was injured at Misano and he was operated soon after the San Marinese race. He is now feeling better, but it is to soon yet for him to be back and race at Brno next July 26th. Sheridan Morais from South Africa will stand in for Doni at the Czech Republic event. Martial Garcia (team manager): “We are very happy to have the possibility to enter Sheridan Morais for the Brno race. It’s a great opportunity for our team. We hope that Doni Tata Pradita will recover quickly and we shall be glad to welcome him back at the Nürburgring.” Morais finished this year 11th and 13th of the Kyalami round of the Superbike World Championship on a Kawasaki. He was in front of his team mate Broc Parkes in both races. Sheridan raced in 2006 a Suzuki for EMS Racing and in 2007 a Ducati 1098S for Team Pedercini in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup. He is a proven podium finisher in the Superstock FIM Cup, having secured second place for the Pedercini Kawasaki team at the Brands Hatch event last season. He has three seasons of experience in FIM Superstock in total, and was a British Championship runner for a time in 2005. Currently the reigning South African Superbike Champion, 24-year-old Morais rides in his home Superbike series this season, and he is also competing in SA Supersport. He was born on 11/03/1985 in Johannesburg. Sheridan Morais is testing this week the Daytona 675 of the Team ParkinGO Triumph BE1 Racing at Imola. This is positive for his participation at the Brno race, as he will know better the tyres Pirelli is providing for the World Supersport class.
