PTR HONDA has announced promising young South African Ronan Quarmby in its team for the 2012 World Supersport Championship. Ronan, 20, has top 10 finishes in the 2011 Championship to his credit as well as raw speed; that once married with the PTR Honda race bike will make for an exciting combination with high scoring potential in 2012. The British based PTR squad has finished runner-up in the Championship twice in 2009 and 2010 and is sure Ronan has the ability to challenge for the podium in the World Supersport Championship. He will join the team for a two-day test at Almeria in Spain on 19th and 20th January before going to Phillip Island in Australia for testing before the opening round of the Championship at the same track on 26th February.
