Special Prices For Military Members During AMA Pro Superbike National June 17-19 At Barber

(May 27, 2011) As part of the Barber Superbike Classic’s “Salute to the Men & Women of the Alabama National Guard”, members of the military will enjoy special ticket prices for the Father’s Day weekend event at Barber Motorsports Park. Members of the National Guard will receive two free general admission tickets to this year’s AMA Pro Road Racing event by showing their National Guard identification at the ticket office. The Guardsmen will also receive $10 off each daily ticket purchased for family members. Active and Reserve military will also receive $10 off each daily ticket purchased at the gate when showing their military identification. Throughout the weekend, kids 12 and under receive free general admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult. “The Alabama National Guard continually contributes to our state and this is our chance to give back to them by honoring them through an exciting weekend of racing at Barber Motorsports Park,” remarked Rick Humphrey, Vice President of ZOOM Motorsports, the exclusive event promoter of the Barber Motorsports Park. “Without the National Guard and all members of the military, we would not enjoy the freedoms that we have, including the freedom to hold and attend a great weekend of racing like we always have at Barber Motorsports Park.” The race weekend will be held June 17-19th and will be the ninth consecutive AMA Pro Road Racing event held at Barber Motorsports Park. AMA Pro is the premier motorcycle road racing series in the U.S. and Barber Motorsports Park is consistently one of the most-attended events on the AMA Pro annual calendar. The Barber Superbike Classic, a Salute to the Men & Women of the Alabama National Guard, will feature many exciting events for Guardsmen, including a job fair held at the Barber Park which will feature several Alabama-based companies interviewing for their prospective job openings. There will also be an interview workshop and staff on-hand to assist Guardsmen with resumes and interview tips. In addition to the job fair, the three-day weekend will include seven races, autographs sessions, a fan walk on pit lane, and an expanded fan zone.
