Yates, who will start from the second position, had a qualifying time of 1:25.203 only .399 seconds from pole sitter Ben Spies, while Holden qualified with a time of 1:25.237, good for third. In last week’s Superstock race at Barber Motorsports Park, Yates captured the Jordan Suzuki team’s first-ever victory, with Holden finishing right behind in second place. With today’s promising qualifying results, the teammates hope to keep last week’s momentum going. Both Jordan Suzuki riders will also compete in tomorrow’s AMA Superstock race. The riders and crew will return to racing action May 18-20, 2007 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA.
