Spies Wins AMA Formula Xtreme At Laguna Seca

Ben Spies ran away with the Formula Xtreme race at Laguna Seca, leading every lap and turning the fastest lap of the race, a 1:27.070.

Adam Fergusson finished second with Jason Pridmore third.

Damon Buckmaster and Jake Zemke were both given a stop-and-go penalty for jumping the start. Zemke, who was racing Fergusson for second at the time, came in on lap four and recovered to finish seventh. Buckmaster, who had come in on the second lap, recovered to finish eighth.

Jamie Hacking clipped Marty Craggill’s rear wheel entering the corkscrew and both crashed, on lap four.
