GORMAN-RUPP SPONSORS STUNT SHOW AT MID-OHIO SPORTS CAR COURSE DURING HONDA SUPER CYCLE WEEKEND JULY 8-10 LEXINGTON, OHIO (July 7, 2011) With assistance from Mansfield, Ohio-based pump company Gorman-Rupp, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will host freestyle motocross stunt group Team FMX as part of the Honda Super Cycle Weekend presented by Dunlop Tire July 8-10. The Team FMX Stunt Show presented by Gorman-Rupp will be located in the infield on Championship Row, with three 20-minute stunt shows scheduled on each day from Friday, July 8 through Sunday, July 10. The shows are slotted for Friday at 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.; Saturday at 10 a.m., noon and 4 p.m.; and Sunday at 9:15 a.m., 11:20 a.m. and 3 p.m. Founded in 2000, Team FMX are veterans on the stunt show circuit, having appeared at hundreds of events in North and South America. The crew has been featured on TV a number of times including spots on Discovery, Fox Sports, MTV and SPEED. “When fans come to a race weekend at Mid-Ohio, we want to do everything we can to make it fun-filled, on and off the track. We schedule major series like AMA Pro Road Racing to compete here, but that continues into the paddock and infield with other activities for the fans, like this stunt show,” said Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course President Craig Rust. Many of the Team FMX riders have competed and also placed in extreme sports events such as the X-Games and Moto-X World Championships. According to the team’s founder Travis Willis, they’ve never turned down an autograph request or left a fan with an unanswered question in more than a decade of performing.
