Sponsorship Opportunity With Marietta Motorsports

© 2011, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc.

Marietta Motorsports has an over 20-year history of club racer support and wants to continue that into 2011 and beyond. We are seeking two racers, a novice and an expert competing in any of the classes of the Sportsmen Series in WERA’s Southeast region to help represent our company. Beyond our normal racer discount given to anyone who presents us with their race license; These two racers will receive: * Parts from our vast network of suppliers at substantially reduced costs. * Labor from our skilled and experienced mechanics at substantially reduced rates. * Free dyno tuning on our Dynojet 250i dyno. * Free entry to our track days. * As much free racer support and technical assistance we can offer at the track, over the phone or anywhere you need it (preferably about bikes and racing but we’ll put or 2 cents in on about any subject). Who we’re looking for: * One novice and one expert competing in WERA’s Southeast region of the Sportsmen Series. * Racers who already have the ability and equipment to complete a season on their own but would benefit greatly from our additional help. * Someone based close enough to our shop in Marietta, GA that logistics are feasible. * Racers who will appreciate our sponsorship and in return help promote Marietta Motorsports at the track and anywhere else we have the ability to earn a biker’s business. What we don’t want or can’t give: * As much as we’d like to we can’t give anyone a bike, buy your tires, pay your fees, pay your gas to the track, buy your lunch, sponsor your friend, forget about your bill, or anything else that would simply cost us money. What we’re offering is help; not a full sponsorship. And we think it’s a pretty good offer! * Someone racing another series, or another organization, or even another sport (I received a sponsorship request letter from a horse barrel racer once Huey). This is the direction we’d like to go in and thus where we’d like to help people. * A thousand letters, emails, phone calls asking for things outside the scope of what we’ve proposed. Not to be mean but if you can’t follow the directions of this awesomely thought out and painstakingly written announcement then what type of spokesperson would you really consider yourself anyway? What to do: * If you’re a novice or expert racer planning and have the ability to compete in WERA’s Southeast region of their Sportsmen Series please send as much of the following as you can to our email: [email protected] * A race resume including past finishes if any. * Pictures of you and your bike. * Most importantly a “cover letter” of a few paragraphs introducing yourself, your bike, your goals (specifically what classes you’re running and any finishes, championships, lap times, or Guinness world records you plan on breaking) and answering why you should be considered for this opportunity. Sorry it’s so close to first race but I know some are still struggling to get ready. We’ll announce our decisions as soon as possible based upon what we’ve received at that time. Everyone else, please keep Marietta Motorsports in mind for your gear, tuning, building, repair, and parts needs. We’re planning on being at least at all the Southeast rounds this year and can help with any questions, advice or work you may have there or need taken back to the shop. Thanks for reading and have a great season! Marietta Motorsports 1011 S. Marietta Pkwy, Ste 7 Marietta, GA 30060 770.425.5252
