Sponsorship Opportunity With Nexx USA

© 2013, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc.

Nexx-USA is proud to announce open enrollment for our 2014 race season helmet sponsorship program. Thank you to everyone who participated in the success of Nexx-USA’s sponsorship program in 2013. The year has seen a lot of action and a lot of changes. Moving forward into 2014, the program has changed considerably, but everyone will likely recognize a similar format with the levels of support. There is now also an add-on area for those active in social media to gain additional benefits! Nexx-USA will continue to provide track-side support at all AMA Pro Road Racing events throughout the 2014 season. Many of you have already seen the new Nexx XR2 model. We are very pleased to announce it WILL be available by mid-February in time for the AMA Pro season opener mid-March. The new XR2 features many of the innovations from the XR1R’s development plus the new features such as a flat shield to accept tear-offs, an even LIGHTER weight than the XR1R, and improved ventilation. Nexx-USA has a booth set up at the International Motorcycle Show going on this weekend at the Long Beach Convention Center. There is an exclusive prototype version of the XR2 on-hand in booth #1463. Nexx-USA staff will have sponsorship applications available for applicants that are attending the show The focus for the 2014 program will be to identify racers that understand the business model related to sponsorships. Every company that sponsors a racer is ultimately looking for “value” in the relationship that will benefit the company. The idea of “exposure” is often over-used and almost irrelevant with respect to the general participation in road racing. Exposure does have value, but on a much higher level when away from the track. For instance, some of our sponsored riders sought out and attained newspaper interviews, TV interviews, and published media in magazines, social media, etc. YouTube videos have also provided additional valuable exposure as measured by the relevent audience they reach. Nexx-USA does not expect every racer to dedicate their lives to being a marketing and advertising outlet. Racers must first race. We simply see the value in both champions on the track as well as those who are comfortable promoting the brand through other channels aside from their on-track performance. The application and levels offered are specifically designed to be able to categorize all of our sponsored riders efficiently. Nexx-USA is also very interested in additional value that each rider, team, business, etc can bring to the table. For instance, if you are a sponsored rider and you also own a retail store that sells Nexx Helmets, please let us know! Some of you may have connections of value outside of the racing industry that could also help the brand. For instance, collaborative projects that enhance Nexx-USA’s cache are always beneficial. Perhaps you know someone in marketing at one of the motorcycle manufacturers and they are interested in a branded Nexx helmet for retail sales? The more options we explore, the more successful we will all become. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about the application process or details held within. We look forward to building our 2014 team and hope to have you aboard! For an application, please send a request to [email protected].
