      Nevermind the oft-repeated Internet theory that the
sportbike market is dead and that everybody is going to be riding naked bikes
in the future, despite stellar new sportbike models launched by BMW, Aprilia,

       But it turns out that part of that was an anomaly in sales
reporting, which had been dumping U.S. sales figures for several lightweight
sportbike models into the naked category, inflating the figures. That’s now been corrected, according to industry sources,

now official: Yamaha’s best-selling model in the American market in 2018 was the
YZF-R3 sportbike, and for 2019 it delivers better performance for the same
price…
