Stefano Mesa To Compete In AMA Pro Superbike For DMS Racing

Colombian rider Stefano Mesa, 19 years old, will be racing for DMS Racing team at the top class of road racing in USA, AMA Pro Superbike, after signing for the Florida based team.

DMS Racing will line up in the AMA Pro Superbike with Mesa and Kawasaki ZX-10R all the season, starting at Daytona 200 in March. The goal for both, rider and team, it´s to continue the growth process and gradually improve the results.

Stefano Mesa (8/19/1984, Medellin, Colombia) remains one of the youngest talent from Colombia and one of the most successful road racing contenders from his country with a short but successful career:

2013 – Raced in AMA Pro SuperSport East, finishing 3rd in the point standings. Recorded one win and one pole position.

2012 – Competed in AMA Pro SuperSport East, finishing 4th in the standings. Breakout year accounting for 12 top 5 finishes. Recorded one win on the year.

2011 – Raced in AMA Pro SuperSport East, finishing the season seventh in the point standings and earning a best finish of second place in Race 1 at Daytona.

2010 – Competed in AMA Pro SuperSport East, finishing a season-high best of fifth place in Race Two at Barber. Also raced the USGPRU’s 125GP and MD250H classes, finishing fourth and second, respectively, in East Coast points standings

I will be doing a big jump and stepping it up with the superbike guys so that has me anxiousness a little bit but I still think that’s my best choice that I got!
