My 2018 Aluma 7×16 V Nose Race Trailer that pretty much all of my career resources were in was stolen from the Holiday Inn Express in Amarillo, Texas right off of I-40 between 1:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. Central Time Tuesday morning.
Amarillo Police Dept. was instantly notified and a report was filed.
I was on a three-week event tour that had me going from Atlanta to MotoGP at COTA to AHRMA at Willow Springs, and BMW MC’s of Riverside Dealer/Ambassador presentation before driving home to Georgia Sunday evening.
There are no words to describe the gutted feeling that this theft has left me with. Their not just “bikes.” These are critical to my income. As the Official S 1000 RR Brand Ambassador and Factory Test Rider, my calendar is full of events that these resources are critical to survive.
My BMW RnineT’s are my proprietary program that I’ve worked hard to build on my own and which the U.S. dealer body has embraced. BMW Motorrad USA does not have any ownership or support in my RnineT Racing.
AHRMA Battle Of The Twins pays contingency for 1st through 5th on the RnineT. Again, it helps my career/income.
This is such poor timing as we are excited after winning this past weekend at Willow Springs (1:29.1 on an RnineT) and we are finalizing our press release about our very, very organic guerrilla effort to race Boxer Cup 2.0 in Europe this year. It’s a physical pain I don’t wish on anyone.
Reward leading to recovery and information from me.
