Stunt Competition Scheduled In Downtown Monterey, California During Red Bull U.S.G.P. Weekend

XDL CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE HELD DURING RED BULL U.S. GRAND PRIX More Off-Track Thrills for MotoGP Fans MONTEREY, Calif. The Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, featuring MotoGP World Championship weekend of July 22-24 is expanding into downtown Monterey with the debut of the awe-inspiring XDL Championship. XDL is a two-day event where the world’s top street freestyle riders contend in six different competitions. The Wheelie Teach Wheelie Race, the K&N Circle Challenge and the Racing 905 Speed & Style Showdown are all head-to-head competitions combining various racing and freestyle skills. The Sartso Women’s Cup and the FMF Cup represent the women’s and men’s national championship, respectively. Contestants are competing for $10,000 in prize money and a national championship. The level of execution and the pressure make for a phenomenal experience. The finale Saturday is the Stuntride Sickest Trick, where the athletes have one minute to pull out all the stops and perform any kind of trick. At the end of each day ticket holders can step on to the competition area to pose for photos with the athletes and get autographs. The XDL Championship will be held at The Depot Parking Lot, located off Del Monte Boulevard, between Wharf 2 and Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey. Saturday’s events begin after the racing ends at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to allow fans the chance to see both. Tickets are on sale at www.xdlshow.com. Friday general admission is $10, unreserved bleachers are $15. Saturday general admission is $20 and unreserved bleachers are $25. Kids 12 and under are free. Seats are limited. The event will be held rain or shine.
