NICK AND ERNIE TO PERFORM AT BARBER VINTAGE FESTIVAL Birmingham, Ala. (Oct 1) Professional motorcycle stunt riders Nick “Apex” Brocha and Ernie “EDub” Vigil are coming back to Barber Motorsports Park next month to entertain fans at the Barber Vintage Festival presented by Triumph Dealers of North America. The 8th annual event is set for Oct. 12-14. With the help of Triumph, Nick and Ernie first came to the Birmingham facility earlier in the year to film “The Chase,” a seven-minute video that showcases the duo’s talent, as well as the renowned road course and museum. The video has been viewed more than 2 million times since debuting just seven months ago. “Nick and Ernie certainly have a following in the motorcycle industry,” said Rick Humphrey, Vice President of ZOOM Motorsports, the exclusive event promoter at Barber Motorsports Park. “Because of our joint relationship with Triumph, Nick and Ernie have spent a lot of time at Barber in 2012 and we can’t wait to have them back for the Barber Vintage Festival. These guys do things on motorcycles that leave fans speechless.” Nick and Ernie, who also star in the “Motorcycles vs. Car Drift 2″ film that’s been viewed more than 12 million times on YouTube in just eight months and the new “Portland to Dakar” extreme adventure riding video, will perform both Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14. Their performances will take place during the lunch break each day. The Triumph Speed Triple drift bikes used in both films will be on display during the Barber Vintage Festival weekend at the Triumph tent located in the America’s First Fan Zone. Both Nick and Ernie will also be in the Triumph area for pictures and autographs. Daily tickets for the Barber Vintage Festival are available beginning at $20 in advance or $40 for the three-day weekend. All tickets include free paddock access and fans are encouraged to purchase in advance, as prices will increase the week of the event. Throughout the weekend, kids 12 and under receive free general admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Adding to the weekend activities, the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum will feature extended hours, special displays and technical seminars.
