Freestyle Street Extreme Returns to Entertain Fans at Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix MONTEREY, Calif., March 30, 2012 Once an underground phenomenon, freestyle riders now merit center stage. Three of their stars will perform at the Freestyle Street Extreme in the Yamaha Marketplace during the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix featuring the MotoGP World Championship July 27-29. Presented by E3, a leader in action sports, motorsports and stunt entertainment, the featured stunt riders are Bill Dixon (Yamaha), Chris McNeil (BMW) and Dan Jackson (Kawasaki). These riders are the ambassadors, driving forces and main reasons behind the rise in popularity and exposure for the sport in the mainstream. The Freestyle Street Extreme show draws substantial crowds of all ages to watch the entertaining and gravity defying stunts. The Yamaha Marketplace is an unparalleled motorsports enthusiast experience with interactive activities including Experience Zero Motorcycles Demos, Yamaha Kids Riding Area and Strider Adventure Zone. The latest and greatest motorsports fashions are available from such exhibitors as Yamaha, Cycle Gear and MotoGP merchandising or in the Mazda Raceway Super Store. Race fans can enjoy food and beverage options from EuroSnack, California Pizza Kitchen, the beer garden and Lablon Lounge or listen to the bands on the GE Financial Stage. Not to mention the numerous motorcycle manufacturers on hand with elaborate exhibits including Yamaha, Honda and Ducati. Bill Dixon aka “Bill D” is the “King” of sportbike freestyle, having won three straight XDL National Championships. Dixon was raised by a drill sergeant, giving him the perfect amount of discipline to harness the rebellious side that makes him so daring at his craft. At the age of four, he was introduced to his first bike and almost intuitively, he was showing off and developing skills early. At age 18, Dixon took his bike to an empty parking lot and turned the lot into his personal training camp. After learning that what he was doing was actually a sport, practicing tricks for fun transformed into a personal challenge that led Dixon to aspire to be the best rider in the world. He is a Yamaha Factory sponsored rider and three-time XDL Champion. Chris “Teach” McNeil is a champion freestyle motorcycle athlete and performer who has been traveling the globe for more than 10 years wowing crowds with his gravity-defying stunts. Also a private school Latin teacher, McNeil put down the red pen in favor of BMW’s fantastic array of performance motorcycles and has proved a massive hit across the country and around the world. A two time XDL East Coast Champion, as well as Stuntwars World Champion, he has won or been on the podium in virtually every competition he has entered in the past seven years. An icon in the sport for over 10 years, McNeil is a fixture on the XDL National Competition Circuit, featured athlete on the nationally televised show “Inside XDL” and now regularly performs for BMW North America and at dealerships throughout the United States. “Crazy” Dan Jackson is a forerunner in the industry, always leading by example as one of the top-ranking freestyle stunt riders in the world. He always exceeds by raising the bar, creating new tricks, and establishing the industry’s expectations for professional riding. Jackson began his innovative stunt riding career in early 2000 competing in the XSBA (Xtreme Sport Bike Association), a National Points Series formed by Clear Channel held during the Formula USA (road race) championships and was the second annual XSBA National Champion. He continues to set the pace for competitors today clinching three additional National Championships in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Jackson has been featured in over 50 dvds and his series of “A Few Loose Screws” won Xtremey Awards in 2004, 2006 and 2008.
