At 2:13 p.m. local time, the sun is shining on AMA Superbike qualifying at Road Atlanta, in Braselton, Georgia, and the weather forecast for the rest of the weekend is improving. Thursday evening, www.weather.com was forecasting a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms on Saturday and partly cloudy skies and a 20% chance for rain on Sunday. Now, the forecast calls for only partly cloudy skies on Saturday and sunny skies on Sunday, with only 20% chance for rain on either day. High temperatures are expected to reach the mid-80s, which is about 15 degrees cooler than when the AMA teams tested at Road Atlanta in August.
