Infront secures agreement with ESPN Brazil for HD coverage of FIM Superbike World Championship Misano Adriatico (Italy), Friday 10 June 2011 – The rapid expansion of the media coverage of the FIM Superbike World Championship continues with the announcement today of an agreement between Infront Sports & Media and ESPN Brazil for the distribution of the series on ESPN’s HD service. The agreement is non-exclusive and commences with the current Misano round in Italy. It runs for two seasons. This is the latest of a series of television agreements for the FIM Superbike World Championship, which is promoted by Infront Motor Sports. It includes the recent tie-up with Asia’s biggest sports content provider, ESPN STAR Sports, to broadcast the series across the region and last year’s Eurosport agreement. Overall, under Infront’s tenure, live coverage has increased steadily since 2007 and the number of broadcast partners has grown by 40%. In 2010, the series was shown in 173 countries, reaching a cumulative audience of 498 million viewers (+33% compared to the previous year).
