Surgery For AMA Pro Daytona SportBike Racer Santiago Villa

AMA Pro Daytona SportBike #32 (and CCS Florida Region Overall Champion) Santiago Villa underwent four hours of surgery on Monday, October 23rd to plate a broken collarbone (from a crash at Mid-Ohio in July) and to remove accumulated surgical hardware from one femur, both knees and a foot. Dr. Gamal Zayet performed the surgery at Santa Fe Hospital in Bogota, Colombia. “I will be ready for action for the last round of the CCS Florida Region at Homestead on December 3-4,” Villa told Roadracing World. “Then I will race in Bogota later that same month.
