March 04, 2011 At the Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo, held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis February 17-19, the annual Top 100 Awards was presented by Dealernews. According to the Dealernews website, The Top 100 Awards is a juried competition that recognizes the top 100 powersports dealerships in the nation for their achievements in retail design and merchandising, advertising, marketing, e-commerce, customer service, community involvement and general business management. This year, the list of the top 100 dealers includes an incredible 41 Suzuki dealers – more than any other OEM. This is the second consecutive year that Suzuki has topped the list, with 40 dealers in 2010, representing more Suzuki dealers in the Top 100 list than any other manufacturer. “In the midst of challenging economic times, to be successful in business you need to partner with the best dealers,” said Rod Lopusnak, National Sales Manager MC/ATV Division for American Suzuki, “Suzuki is proud to be in business with all our dealers that made the Top 100 list.” In addition to the Top 100 Dealers of 2011 list, numerous other special awards were presented, including Top 10 Dealers List, Special Merit Awards, and the Consumer’s Choice Award a new award presented by the Progressive International Motorcycle Shows. In this prestigious award, the top dealer in the nation is voted on by consumers on the Dealernews website, with the award going to South Texas Suzuki, a Suzuki-only dealer in Lytle, Texas, who gathered an incredible 37,000 votes in the online poll, held during November and December, 2010. American Suzuki Motor Corporation also won a unique award from Dealernews, presented to the OEM with the highest number of dealers in the Top 100 The 2011 Vehicle Brand of the Year Award, recognizing Suzuki’s dominant presence in the Top 100 Dealer list.
