Taylor Knapp has signed with Team Rabid Transit, powered by RSRacecraft, to compete aboard their Yamaha R1 in the Superstock 1000 class at Utah Motorsports Campus this upcoming weekend

Knapp has been a regular podium finisher in the Superstock 1000 class during the past two seasons in MotoAmerica. 2016 he was running his own program as a privateer but landed a ride with another team at the last round at Barber. He impressed everyone when he finished qualifying in second overall and first in class, ahead of many factory bikes. He was left without a ride after that impressive performance so Team Rabid Transit manager, Brandon Cretu, and crew chief, Ronnie Saner, saw it fitting to free up a seat for Knapp so he could continue to shine and show his potential.

Taylor Knapp commented:

“I’m really excited and fortunate to have another opportunity to keep my season going. It’s been a roller-coaster of a year for me, but I’m happy to have the chance to ride the Team Rabid Transit Yamaha R1. It’s a bike I’ve really clicked with and had a lot of success on over the past season and a half. I’ve worked with both Ronnie Saner and Phil Allison before and have a lot of respect for them and their crew. I’m really looking forward to seeing what I can do at Utah!”

Team Rabid Transit will be in full force at Utah, with Sheridan Morais returning to duty after taking the last two rounds off due to a previous concussion injury. Renzo Ferreira will also continue running the team flag in the KTM RC390 Cup and continues to improve at each round. Team rider, Brandon Cretu, will be sitting out this round to free up a seat so both Morais and Knapp can compete.
