Dunlop’s Taylor Knapp Wins at Mid-Ohio on Sportmax Q4

Buffalo, NY: Dunlop test rider Taylor Knapp took two premier-class wins at this weekend’s WERA event at Mid-Ohio’s Vintage Days. The weekend, which had the highest attendance of any Mid-Ohio race, including NASCAR and Indycar, saw Knapp win both the Open/A Superstock and WERA/A Superbike on Dunlop Sportmax Q4®s [on July 6]. In conditions that included both wet and dry track sections, the track-day Q4 proved the ideal tire to find the grip Knapp needed on his Suzuki GSX-R1000R.

“I think some people might underestimate the performance of the Q4,” said Knapp who helped develop the tire at the Dunlop Proving Grounds in Huntsville, Alabama. “But this weekend proves that the Q4 can run with full race tires and come out on top.”

Introduced in 2018, the Q4 is a purpose-built track-day tire that achieves lean angles up to 62 degrees, yet is DOT-approved for street-legal use. Check it out at https://www.dunlopmotorcycletires.com/
