Lake Elsinore, Calif. (October 8) – The Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Rides program is returning to Daytona International Speedway, in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Thursday, October 17 to offer riding instruction, track sessions for track-day riders, and practice for licensed CCS, ASRA and AHRMA racers. School students will receive classroom and on-track instruction from Chief Instructor Michael Martin, a former AMA Pro and F-USA rider and a five-time WERA National Endurance Champion with more than 50 overall endurance race wins to his credit. Martin will be assisted in the classroom and on track by Rick Shaw, a former AMA Pro and the former all-time mileage record holder for the Daytona 200. Chris Ulrich–a current AMA Pro Superbike racer, an AMA Pro Superstock race winner and a two-time winner of the 8-Hours At Daytona–and other past and current professional racers will be instructing on the track as well. This is the only opportunity available to riders without a racing license to ride at Daytona International Speedway. Graduates of the Team Hammer Advanced Riding School are eligible to apply for a CCS or WERA racing license. The deadline to sign up at discounted pre-entry prices is October 12, 2013. Post-entries will still be welcomed as late as the morning of Thursday, October 17, but those riders will have to pay a higher price and wait longer at the sign-up building. Also, in addition to the usual discount offered to returning Team Hammer Advanced Riding School graduates, returning Team Hammer Track Ride participants can also enjoy a discounted rate. Riders seeking these discounts are required to provide proof of prior participation. Rental riding gear–including leathers, boots and gloves–is still available, but making arrangements in advanced is strongly recommended. Riders can sign-in/sign-up for the Team Hammer Advanced Riding School and Track Ride day on Wednesday, October 16 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. To get more information or to register for the Team Hammer Advanced Riding School, Track Ride or racer practice, go to www.teamhammer.com or call (951) 245-6414 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) Monday through Friday.
