Pata Honda gets added bite with Barracuda Team Pata Honda has announced that its World Superbike and World Supersport championship campaigns for the 2013 season will be supported by Italian motorcycle accessories manufacturer Barracuda Moto. Based in Florence and founded just over 10 years ago by current chief executive officer, Alessandro Giardina, Barracuda has quickly established itself as one of Europe’s most exciting, progressive and successful manufacturers of motorcycle accessories. The company’s range combines strong design with high manufacturing quality and Barracuda produces accessories for a wide range of Honda motorcycles, including the CBR600RR and CBR1000RR machines that will be campaigned by Pata Honda in the heat of world championship racing in 2013. Carlo Fiorani, racing operations manager for Honda Motor Europe commented: “We are very happy to welcome Barracuda into the Pata Honda team as an official sponsor. It is a young company that is very active in the motorsport community and, thanks to the quality and the design of the product range, it has quickly become a market leader. “I hope this is the beginning of a long partnership,” added Fiorani, “and I am sure that we can repay the faith that Barracuda has placed in team by providing some high profile results on SBK circuits around the world!” Alessandro Giardina, CEO of Barracuda Moto, said: “It’s my great pleasure to be part of the Pata Honda family as an official sponsor and I am very proud to share this experience with one of the World Superbike Championship’s top teams.” He continued: “Barracuda has a winning image in the market and it was our aim to work with Pata Honda because we trust in this team and in its strong rider line-up with Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam in WSBK, as well as Michael van der Mark and Lorenzo Zanetti in WSS. “In a very high level championship like World Superbikes,” concluded Giardina, “we are sure that our choice is the right one and we believe this team can fight for victories. We will try to make our own contribution to reach that goal and we will work hard to help the team both on and off the track.”
