The 22 riders competing for the title will have three days of intense testing at the Malaysian circuit to prepare for the new season.

The second season of the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup begins in earnest on Monday, as the 22 riders selected to compete in the championship begin three days of testing at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia in preparation for the 2015 season.

For 13 of them, this will represent the first opportunity they will have had to experience the Honda NSF250R Moto3™ bike, on which they will compete this year. The new riders all had to pass a vigorous selection process, which consisted of many different stages during October of last year, before making the final cut. The rest of the grid is made up of 9 riders who are returning from last seasons competition to challenge for the title once more. This includes the runner up, Japanese rider Yuta Date, and a number of other leading riders who competed in the first edition of the Cup, such as his compatriots Takuma Kunimine and Ayumu Sasaki, and not forgetting the Malaysian riders Adam Norrodin and Shafiq Rasol.

The Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup brings together the best young racers from Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, China and Australia, to battle it out over 12 races held over 6 weekends. The championship includes races in Qatar, Malaysia, Japan and China, with the first one taking place on 22nd March at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand, as a part of round 2 of the WorldSBK championship.
