HOLLAND, Mich. – The AMA Pro season wraps up at the Kawasaki Devil’s Showdown in Millville, N.J this weekend with Danny Eslick and the Riders Discount Triumph team still within title hopes.

“We don’t really have set plays in racing, but if we did, you could say we’d be throwing a Hail Mary this weekend!,” said Danny Eslick.

With the team trailing only 32 points coming into this weekend with 50 points on the table, it’s impossible to predict what could happen especially in the exciting AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike class.

“Third in the championship with a window of opportunity to still come out on top, we will arrive at NJMP with our gloves off,” said Brian Gibson, Riders Discount Triumph team owner. “It’s been an exciting year and we will do our best to come out with two strong finishes.”

Celtic HVMC Suzuki’s Alexander & Farris Excited To Finish 2014 Season On High Note

This weekend marks the final stop for the 2014 AMA Pro Racing season, with the Celtic Hudson Valley Motorcycles Suzuki team visiting their home track at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Every season more and more local family, friends, and fans make the trip to the track, and this weekend the Celtic HVMC Suzuki team are planning to put on another good show. Wyatt Farris is in third position in the SuperSport championship going into this final round with 144 points, with Corey Alexander just behind in fourth position with 141 points. The long break since the last round at Mid-Ohio has given the team and both riders plenty of time to prepare, and everyone has been working hard to be focused and ready.

Wyatt Farris rode his #19 Celtic/HVMC Suzuki GSX-R 600 to a third place and a fifth place finish at Mid-Ohio, gaining valuable points in the championship, and managing to stay in contention for a strong finish to the season. Farris is eager to return to the saddle, and said “I’m looking forward to getting this weekend started here at NJMP. After Ohio I went home and worked on a few things that I have been struggling with, along with going out to track-days and testing with my crew chief (William Morton). The focus this weekend is to fight at the front and try to get my first win or even two! I have to thank the whole Celtic/HVMC crew for working their butts off for me and I plan on repaying them with result. Along with the team and our sponsors, I would like to thank my personal sponsors that have been behind me 110% throughout this year! Jon Block Group Sports, Above Category, Cortech, Shoei, CT Racing, Defy All Odds and Osmo Nutrition.” You can keep up with Wyatt Farris via Instagram or Twitter @wyattfarris19 or join him on Facebook at www.facebook.com/wyattfarrisracing .

Corey Alexander had a difficult weekend at Mid-Ohio on his #5 Celtic/HVMC Suzuki GSX-R 600, and knows he needs to put in a strong effort to match his early season results and score valuable points at NJMP. Alexander is optimistic and knows that the energy of the team and fans can often make a difference in the results. Corey thoughtfully stated “I have mixed emotions going into Jersey this weekend. I’m excited to be racing at home in front of the northeast fans and back on the bike after a time off. But I’m also still disappointed in the turn that the season has taken for us. Everyone at Celtic Racing has put in such a big effort just to get this program going, not being able to bring them back a championship is definitely a bummer. With that said, the only thing we can do is go out and try to dominate the weekend in front of the home crowd. Who knows! Crazy things happen in racing so don’t count us out completely. Thanks to all my personal sponsors and team sponsors alike!” Corey’s personal sponsors include MJRS Freeman, Spidi Leathers, XPD Boots, Arai Helmets, Boxed Water Is Better, Defy All Odds Apparel, Oakley, Crossfit OSA, and Lapizta Watches.” Please follow Corey Alexander on twitter and Instagram via @corey5alexander , keep track of him on Facebook at www.facebook.com/corey5alexander , and check out his webpage – www.corey23.com – as well.

Eslick looks to capture second AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series championship this weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series’ very first champion is on the verge of being crowned its first two-time king.

With just this weekend’s AMA Pro Road Racing season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park remaining, Ruthless Racing’s Danny Eslick holds a comfortable 16-point advantage over his closest competition.

The Oklahoman, who also boasts a pair of GoPro Daytona SportBike crowns, is very much in control of his own destiny, requiring just a safe and solid ride to seventh place or better this weekend in order to add to his championship hardware.

Eslick’s worst finish to date in the class this season? That’s right – seventh.

That certainly doesn’t mean the outcome is assured. Just look to the seasons of the preseason title favorites, reigning champion Steve Rapp on the Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson and Josh Chisum Racing/Bartels Harley-Davidson’s Tyler O’Hara.

Rapp has been plagued by repeated misfortune, removing him from realistic title contention almost as quickly as the season got underway, despite the fact that he’s still the fastest man in the class on any given day.

By contrast, O’Hara carried his dreams of claiming his first title right up the most recent race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. However, one crash later – his first of the year – he is no longer in the running. Instead, O’Hara has been forced to turn his attention to Rapp, whose Indy win has moved him to within striking distance of third.

Eslick’s second concern – ranking only behind himself – is Rapp’s Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson teammate, Ben Carlson.

Carlson is the last man standing with a shot at taking the Oklahoman down, although he’ll need to finally break through and claim his first-career AMA Pro Road Racing victory to really apply the pressure.

The Wisconsin native has been admirably consistent, racking up five podium finishes, but that elusive first win has slipped through his fingers on the final laps of recent races. For Carlson, a win may feel every bit as good as a championship.

KWR/Millennium Technologies’ Kyle Wyman has recovered well enough from an uneven start to the season to all but lock down the final season’s top five championship finishers.

Meanwhile, a tight battle has evolved to decide the final five positions in the top ten.

Folsom Harley-Davidson’s Gage McAllister kicked off the season in fine fashion with a runner-up showing at Daytona International Speedway, but he now finds himself just two points ahead of Aerostar Global Suburban Motors’ Nick Hansen and another two beyond that up on Chili Pepper Racing’s Hayden Schultz.

Series mainstays Josh Chisum Racing/Bartels Harley-Davidson’s Josh Chisum and Ruthless/Trev Deeley Motorcycles’ Darren James are not far behind as they round out the championship top ten heading into the ’14 finale.

With nine Triumph riders on the track in Daytona SportBike, fans are in for a treat as we all will be battling it out.”

DiSalvo’s teammate, Elena Myers competing on the #21 Apex Maufacturing / Castrol / Triumph, heads to New Jersey riding some momentum.
