THE MOTORCYCLE HALL OF FAME MUSEUM ACCELERATES INTO NEW YEAR 2007 TO FEATURE LEGENDARY MEN, WOMEN, AND MACHINES AT SERIES OF SPECIAL EVENTS PICKERINGTON, OHIO – The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, America’s premiere showcase of motorcycling heritage and history, has announced a full schedule of events for 2007, beginning with the Annual Fundraising Breakfast. Featuring Harley-Davidson design expert and Motorcycle Hall of Fame member Willie G. Davidson as the honored speaker, the breakfast will launch a year of dynamic Museum activities. From the October 5-6 Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction and Concours d’Elegance Weekend to celebrations of favorite motorcycle marques, every Museum visit is an opportunity to experience award-winning exhibits and learn memorable stories. Located adjacent to Interstate 70, just minutes from Columbus, Ohio, the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum’s exhibits and events take place in over 15,000 square feet of gallery space, surround by 23 scenic acres. The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum engages visitors by bringing the stories behind the famous machines and faces to life. Priceless motorcycles, memorabilia, historic images and unusual artifacts are presented in each of the Museum’s three galleries. Many of the exhibits feature interactive elements that invite kids of all ages to touch – such as the current “Motocross America” exhibit where tomorrow’s racing stars can try on the latest motocross gear and prepare for a “photo op” on the victory podium. Davidson, better known to millions of enthusiasts as Willie G., will share his vision of Harley-Davidson’s iconic design heritage at the 19th Annual Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum Fundraising Breakfast during Daytona Bike Week. Japanese machines in every style, from sport bike to cruiser to café racer, are on display during this enthusiast gathering. Any fan of European and British machines will enjoy this celebration of marques such as BMW, Norton and Triumph. More than 40,000 motorcycle enthusiasts gathered at last year’s annual celebration of motorcycling heritage, making it the biggest vintage motorcycle event in America. Visitors can meet the legends of the sport at the Museum’s Motorhead Café, enjoy Harley-Davidson Sportster as Marque of the Year, bid on rare classics and memorabilia at the world-class Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum Vintage Motorcycle Auction, watch AHRMA racing greats battle it out on four race tracks, browse the world’s largest motorcycle swap meet, try the latest motorcycles from today’s leading manufacturers, and shop dozens of new gear and accessory vendors. Meet and mingle with motorcycling’s most famous names at the annual Hall of Fame Induction, plus enjoy over 100 of the nation’s rarest motorcycles at the 6th annual Motorcycle Hall of Fame Concours d’Elegance (all day Saturday). The weekend includes a Friday “Evening of Stars and Legends” reception at the Museum, autograph sessions, Saturday gala Induction dinner and ceremony.
