From a press release issued by Championship Cup Series/Florida: ’91 AMA Superbike Champ Thomas Stevens Guest Speaker at CCS/Florida Banquet Former CCS/Florida Champion and the 1991 AMA Superbike Champion Thomas Stevens will be the guest speaker at the 2007 CCS/Florida banquet. It will take place Saturday February 9th at 7:30 pm at the Homestead-Miami Speedways Champions Club Located above Turn One. All who plan on attending must RSVP to (561) 793-3394 or [email protected]. More, from a press release issued by Santiago Villa’s publicist: Santiago Villa, 13-times Colombian National Champion and 2007 CCS Florida Region Overall Champion, will be racing AMA in 2008 with Team Roadracingworld.com in Superstock and some Superbike races. “This is a very important step on my racing career, for me it’s a dream come true; racing AMA with a team will be great. I know my teammates and they are good friends of mine, also racing with my fellow Colombian rider Martin Cardenas is an honor for me so 2008 will be a great year. “Physically I’m OK, I still have to wait some time until my skin gets better, but I’m ready to race, I think Daytona owes me something so I’m going to try to do my best to take it.”
