Breaux Bridge, LA Thrashed Bike Racing preparing for a busy Daytona This year’s annual Daytona Race of Champions will be a busy one for the Thrashed Bike Racing team. Owner and newly crowned Southeast and Mid-Atlantic Supertwins Champion Tim Ivanoff, is not only going to Daytona to run a full schedule of CCS races, he’ll be running several sprints with AHRMA as well. Tim said, ” The team is really looking forward to the competition and the opportunity to ride at Daytona again. The competition will be intense during the CCS events and AHRMA has attracted stellar competitors as well! Our goal is to finish on the podium which would be quite an accomplishment.” Daytona will also mark the last race of the season for the ASRA Team Challenge Series. 2011 has been a mostly successful season for the team which currently sits 2nd and only 12 points back in the GTO standings (2 wins, 4 podiums) and 3rd in the Overall standing (4 podiums). Rider Walt Sipp said, “All we can do is go to Daytona and try to win the class and the overall. The last race at Summit Point set us back in the championship and made winning the whole thing pretty difficult, but we’ll keep at it and see if we can finish out on a high note. You just never know, there are still a fair number of points on the table so if things go our way we could still end up the champs. Personally, I have a love/hate relationship with Daytona but I really hope to be able to reward the team a good finish after all the hard work this season.” Tim said, “It’s been a long season with all the competitors having had both good and bad luck. Chester Auto Repair has put in an outstanding closing performance and Stiles Racing is still in the mix coming into the finale! The team’s goal is to put in our best effort of the season and see how it stacks up against the competition. No matter what, it has been an honor to compete against all the other teams.” The team would like to thank, Arrow Aviation, Avcal Decal, Erik Buell Racing, Pirelli, Ohlins, EBC, Vortex, KBC Helmets, Arlen Ness and Sidi.
