FIRST PERSON/OPINION Via e-mail: Cameron Beaubier, JD Beach and Kris Turner had their final test today with 40 other participants from around the globe. Each rider got two 20 minute long sessions. For the Americans it was another great day with each young rider consistently improving their times with each running lap and each outing on the track. It was a tremendously positive day. At the end, the Red Bull officials called everyone to the paddock. They had Red Bull’s main representative Thomas address the riders and parents. He was grateful for those who came to the event and hoped that everyone had a fun and eventful time. He went on to state that Red Bull will continue to support the academy and welcomes those who may not make this years CUP the best as they practice for next year’s opportunity. In addition, Alberto Puig, Competition Director of the MotoGP academy also echoed the same sentiments. He apologized to everyone about any discrepancies with the motorcycles and was encouraged about all the talent he saw during the three-day event. While we all thought the final list will be administered today, it was announced that to be objective the committee will take about a week to review the results and data they collected of the final 40 group in order to come up with a best group of 20 riders for the 2007 CUP series.
