For the third time this season Tomas Puerta started from the front row of the SuperSport race presented by Shoei. The 2008 Red Bull Rookies graduate rode through a wrist injury at Heartland Park Topeka to a respectable seventh place finish on his LTD Racing Yamaha YZF-R6.
