Tickets For Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix Are On Sale Now

INDIANAPOLIS, Friday, Jan. 23, 2009 Tickets for the second annual Red Bull Indianapolis GP, scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, are now on sale. Three-day, reserved seat tickets for this world-class MotoGP event range from $100 to $150. Three-day general admission tickets are $75. Fans have three methods to buy tickets: “¢Online: Visit the Tickets section of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Web site, www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com. “¢Phone: Call the IMS Ticket Office at (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area or (317) 492-6700 locally. “¢In person: Visit the IMS Ticket Office, located in the IMS Administration Building at the intersection of 16th Street and Georgetown Road in Indianapolis. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parking and camping permits for the MotoGP World Championship race featuring exciting action in the MotoGP, 250cc and 125cc World Championship classes also can be purchased online, by phone or at the Ticket Office. This year, American riders will race full time in all three classes for the first time since 1990, including at Indy. 2006 MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden and Colin Edwards will represent the United States in the premier MotoGP class, while Stevie Bonsey climbs to the 250cc class. Cameron Beaubier will ride as a rookie in 125cc. Inaugural Red Bull Indianapolis GP runner-up Hayden made a high-profile switch to the Ducati Team to join 2007 World Champion Casey Stoner after last season. Edwards remains with Tech 3 Yamaha. Six-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi will defend his Red Bull Indianapolis GP title with the Fiat Yamaha Team. The Red Bull Indianapolis GP will be the third motor race of the track’s Centennial Era, a three-year celebration honoring the 100th anniversaries of the opening of the famed facility in 1909 and the inaugural Indianapolis 500 in 1911. *** 2009 IMS tickets: Tickets for the three events in 2009 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway the 93rd Indianapolis 500, 16th Allstate 400 at the Brickyard and second Red Bull Indianapolis GP can be ordered online at www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com at any time.
