Thomas Richard Sands, 53, died Tuesday, February 2 in Orange, California, from liver cancer. Sands is the brother of Roadracing World Publishing, Inc. President Trudy Ulrich, the brother-in-law of Roadracing World Editor John Ulrich and the uncle of racer Chris Ulrich. He is survived by wife Brenda and son Tommy Sands; mother Annetta Sands; siblings Trudy Ulrich, Teresa Perkins and Tracy Sands; 13 nieces and nephews; and 18 great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services are pending.
