Tomy Puerta will compete in the final round of the Colombian National Championship at Tocancipa Raceway in Bogota, Colombia on December 12th. He will be competing against fellow Colombian racers at the top of their fields, including AMA Pro Daytona SportBike Champion Martin Cardenas, Moto 2 competitors Yonny and Santiago Hernandez, and AMA Pro SportBike rider Santiago Villa and AMA Pro SuperSport rider Stefano Mesa. Puerta will be riding a Desmomaniacs/DucatiMiami-prepped Ducati 848. Along with additional assistance from Lleras Bikes in transporting the Ducati from Miami to Bogota and trackside support from Bike Performance, 18-year-old Colombian National Puerta will be able to compete against the top riders from his home country, back at home. “I’m really happy to race here in Colombia with all of my friends and other riders from my home country. We have been racing in different countries all year, with good results, so I think it will be a good race,” said Puerta. “I have raced this track on small bikes like 150 and 200cc, so I look forward to racing the Ducati 848!”
