From a press release issued by Bennetts: The nation’s favourite bike insurance provider, Bennetts, is revving up for the opening round of the 2008 Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch this weekend. The season opener will see some exciting new additions to the race programme, including an all-new Bennetts Babes squad and two new Bennetts Buell course bikes. The two dual-branded 1125R motorcycles will accompany the Audi pace car on each sighting lap on race day. One of them will also be used for Chris Evans and wife Natasha to enjoy high-speed pillions with triple domestic champion Niall Mackenzie. British MotoGP contender James Toseland personally sponsored by Bennetts is also attending the event and will be assisting with Eurosport commentary on the live coverage of the Bennetts BSB season opener. Race footage from the Bennett-supported Superbike World Championship in Valencia will also be screened. The Yorkshireman is predicting a British domestic champion in 2008 and is looking forward to watching some competitive racing this weekend between expected frontrunners Leon Haslam, Leon Camier, Shane Byrne, Tom Sykes and Cal Crutchlow.
