Touring Sport Ducshop Ducati heads to Wisconsin for the fourth round of the Suntrust Moto-GT endurance championship at Road America on Saturday. With a 15 point championship lead the team is optimistic of good results at the Elkart Lake circuit, where they scored a second place finish last season. Though the rider line-up is not yet confirmed the team is thrilled to welcome back Ryan Elleby, now fully recovered from surgery. Team owner Frank Shockley has commissioned Dane Westby as the other rider but can’t say for sure if he will ride until Friday’s practice when Westby will check the strength of his wrist after a recent small break. “If Dane’s not able to ride I’ll have to fill in for my own rider”, humored Shockley who is, in part, responsible for the team’s current championship lead. The team will only run the # 77 Ducshop built Ducati PS1000LE leaving the # 38 bike as a back-up as team member’s Pete Friedland and Brad Phillips are both unavailable to ride. The two-hour endurance race begins at 4pm Central Time. For hourly race reports follow us at ~http://twitter.com/ducshop~
