Jeremy Toye led every lap to take a convincing win in the 12-lap Toyota Cup Unlimited Formula 1 headline race at the May round of the Willow Springs Motorcycle Club Classic Series, Sunday.

Riding a Lee’s Cycle Suzuki GSX-R1000, Toye laid down a best lap of 1:21.337 in breezy conditions to take the win on the 2.5-mile main course over Jason Perez by more than 13 seconds.

Perez held second the whole race on his Dunlop-shod Rojo Racing Yamaha YZF-R1, leading third-place finisher Jack Pfeifer’s Advanced Kawasaki ZX-10R across the line by another 13 seconds. Jeff Stern took fourth and Karl Lowry fifth, both on Suzuki GSX-R1000s. There were only nine starters in the main event.

Perez raced in AMA Formula Xtreme at Sears Point on Saturday, then traveled overnight to Willow Springs.

In the Roadracingworld.com 250cc Grand Prix, Mark Watts took the win over Alex White and Jamie Lenore, while in Open Superbike, Perez led Pfeifer and Chris Duran across the stripe.
