Jose Pasillas, the drummer for the rock band Incubus (www.enjoyincubus.com), took delivery of a 2008-model Yamaha YZF-R6 in America today at Yamaha Motor Corp. U.S.A. headquarters in Cypress, California. “I’m ecstatic, to be honest,” Pasillas told Roadracingworld.com. “I don’t really have any words. I don’t want to ride it, to be honest. I just want to hang it up and make it a trophy bike. Nah, I’m excited to get on it and ride it home. It looks beautiful, man. I’m in awe right now, speechless.” Pasillas said he began riding sportbikes on the street three years ago and started attending track days on his 2005 Yamaha YZF-R6 in 2007. “We’ve been pretty much on tour for the past two years,” he said, “but I’ve been getting into it more and more and doing track days more and more. I turned my ’05 into a track bike, and I’m buying the ’08 for the street.” Pasillas said he plans to enter his first road race, a CCS/Road Race Southwest event, in Arizona in December.
