After a strong second place overall finish in the 2010 XR1200 series, Travis Wyman of Macedon, NY will be making a return to the series starting at Daytona. Travis will be competing on his Robb Hilfiker prepped Harv’s Harley-Davidson/ AB1 Motorsports powered XR1200 for his second season. “I feel that we learned a lot about the bike and my ability on the XR1200 last year. I’ve got a strong program for this year and can only expect improvement. My goals are to continue my efforts in the XR1200 class and chase an overall championship!” As a new challenge, Travis will also be competing in the Pro Singles AMA Flat Track class at Daytona on his Harv’s Harley-Davidson/AB1 Motorsports powered Honda 450. Travis will be racing select East and West coast rounds in the Supersport class. Wind Tunnel 2/11 Travis Wyman and his team traveled down to Mooresville, NC to further their knowledge and test the XR1200 in the A2 Wind Tunnel. Experience from Aaron Brown, Bob Smith, and Dave Salazar helped make this a successful trip for the entire crew! “It was really cool to be able to strap down in the wind tunnel on the XR1200. I learned a lot about my rider positioning as well as a few things that have to do with the bike itself. I was unable to make the Daytona tire test due to educational circumstances but I feel as though we are right where we need to be in order to be successful at the first round in Daytona!” Travis would like to thank his 2010 sponsors for their continued support into the 2011 race season! Harv’s Harley-Davidson, AB1 Motorsports, REV’ IT, Arai, and Long Pond Autobody.
